REA Strategy
We thrive on challenges that have the potential to make a significant impact. When the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) sought our expertise to revamp their communications strategy, we saw an opportunity to play a pivotal role in lighting up Nigeria. Here’s how we turned this challenge into a transformative solution and the impact it had on REA’s mission.
The Challenge
REA had a noble mandate – to improve electricity access in unserved and underserved communities across Nigeria. However, their previous communication strategy didn’t quite illuminate their remarkable work. They needed a strategy that not only showcased their electrification projects but also resonated with the hearts and minds of the communities they served.
The Solution
Our journey began with a deep dive into REA’s previous strategy. We meticulously analysed its strengths and weaknesses, ensuring we understood every aspect. Working closely with the Directorate of Promotion, Information, and Outreach, we designed a comprehensive new strategy. This involved crafting impactful templates to showcase project impact and developing a new media policy to guide their digital communication efforts. With our help, the new REA strategy was designed not just to inform but to inspire and impact.
The Impact
The results were electrifying, both metaphorically and literally. With the new strategy, REA’s communication took on a new life. The agency not only informed their stakeholders but engaged them at a deeper level. The electrification projects, once not as visible, were now in the spotlight, attracting attention and support. Nigerian communities began to see not just power lines but a brighter future. Our work with REA wasn’t just about words, visuals and recommendations; it was about empowering an agency with the tools to achieve its electrification goals. We didn’t just revolutionise their strategy; we helped illuminate the path to a brighter Nigeria, one electrified community at a time!
