One-Stop Investment Platform

In a collaborative effort with GFA Consulting Group and the GIZ Nigerian Electricity Support Programme (NESP) team, WWT Comms took on a pivotal role — to support the creation of a digital platform that connects investors with local opportunities in the clean energy sector.

The Challenge

Nigeria’s burgeoning renewables and energy efficiency sector holds immense promise, yet it faces the challenge of attracting the right investments. Our task was clear: to conduct in-depth interviews with key stakeholders in the clean energy investment space and assess existing platforms. The goal? To glean insights that would inform the platform’s iteration and elevate it to the forefront of the industry.

The Solution

We conducted a series of 1-hour interviews with influential players in the clean energy investment arena namely, AllOn, Schneider Electric, African Development Bank, Africa Clean Energy Technical Assistance Facility, Nextier Power, Ashipa Electric, GVE Projects, PowerGen, First City Monument Bank, Blue Camel Energy, and CEESOLAR. Simultaneously, we conducted a thorough evaluation of five competing platforms, dissecting their content, visual design, functionality and layout. These exhaustive assessments resulted in comprehensive reports that not only shed light on the features, challenges and opportunities but also illuminated the path forward.

The Impact

Our findings and outputs coalesced into a powerful, comprehensive report. Within its pages lay not just data but valuable recommendations that would chart the course for the platform’s development and mainstream adoption. With our insights, the One-Stop Investment Platform project was primed to become a catalyst for investment, fostering growth and innovation in Nigeria’s renewables and energy efficiency sector.
